Scrip Program Minot Catholic Schools has an ongoing fund raising program called Scrip. There are over 8,000 schools, churches, and non-profit organizations involved in this proven non-profit movement. Many of these organizations raise $50,000 - $100,000 a year. We hope to achieve this same kind of success for the Minot Catholic School System. What is Scrip?
Scrip is gift certificates issued by many stores in our community where you already shop regularly. Our organization is able to buy these certificates at a negotiated discount and exchange them for your cash at full face value. The discount, which is from 2% to 40% is the contribution retained by Minot Catholic Schools. Is it easy to use?
Yes! Use Scrip just like cash. There is no difference between Scrip and cash when you go shopping, except you are using gift certificates to purchase your items. What's the catch?
There isn't one! That's the great thing about using Scrip! It doesn't cost you a thing! For example, you buy $500 worth of Miracle Mart gift certificates from Scrip for one month's worth of groceries. Our organization bought the certificates for $475, so Miracle Mart, in essence, donated $25 to our school! You receive $500 worth of certificates to buy $500 worth of groceries. Where can I use Scrip?
There are currently over 50 restaurants, grocery stores, drug stores, gas stations, and retail stores in our area where you can use Scrip! Planning a building project or home addition? Use Scrip at Menards! Redecorating your home or office? Use Scrip at I.Keating Furniture World. How do I order Scrip?
You can order Scrip three ways: |
| 1Print out our Scrip Order Form. Fill out the order form and make checks payable to MCS Scrip. Bring this form to the Minot Catholic Schools office, 316 11th Ave. during normal school hours, or bring your completed order form to Mass at one of the Minot parishes where Scrip is sold at the weekend Masses and have your order filled. | |
